The Day Has Almost Arrived

Hey guys, since Nora has urged me to post before I leave I am. I always do what Nora says because Nora is the best.

I leave tomorrow (well, today in another 40 minutes) for my trip. I am tres excited. Dad is picking me up at 12 tomorrow and we're heading to T.O. to visit my aunt, and then we're spending the night in T.O. Our flight leaves at 7 am on Monday. We board the ship in Miami at 4. We get off the ship next Saturday at 8, our flight leaves around 1:30 pm, and we arrive in T.O. around 5. I'm kinda nervous but more excited than anything.

Let's see..Friday night I attended the dance at St. Michael which I (to my surprise) enjoyed. It was the first and last one I went to this year, and I managed to stay away from all the drama (which there was an abundance of.) Today I went over to Stratford and helped a friend move, and picked up a memory stick for my camera. Since I've been home I've just been packing (I'll procrastinate later.) I'm almost all set, just gotta remember to pack all the stuff I still need for tomorrow.

Anyways, that's about all I have to say I think. Oh yah, started careers, it happens to be in the same room as my homeroom (careers is second period.) It sucks. A lot. for 2.5 hours I suffer from A.D.D. pretty hardcore.

Well, I'm out. When I'm gone, post a lot to keep me updated.

When We Date...

Helllllo all. Just thought I'd fill you in on my weekend thus far.

On Thursday night my friend Christy and I went downtown and waited for Amanda to get off work. While we waited we bought at tub of the new Kit-Kat Icecrem (which I HIGHLY recommend, it's delish) which we shared with most of the employees. Then the three of us headed back to Christy's to watch Saw II which I had already seen. For a little we were harassed by the telephone, until someone finally told the caller (I will not disclose any names) to stop calling because people were in bed. That didn't work, so we just left the phone off the hook. Then around 12 I stumbled home and crashed.

Friday I slept until about 11. I was feeling pretty terrible so I went back to bed around 2 and didn't wake up until 530. I got up, made myself some food, and then some friends showed up and we went to see some local bands play. We got there and it wasn't very good, so we ended up leaving around 10 and I just toured on home, watched T.V. the rest of the night.

Saturday I got up around 9 I think. Got up, checked email, etc. and then spent from about 1030-4 cleaning my room. It was a disaster. Then I slept from 4-7. I got up at 7 and went for a walk downtown, grabbed some coffee (Ben definitely served me and I didn't recognize him.) Ran into a couple friends downtown, chatted them up for awhile, and then I returned home for a night packed full of reading and writing. I didn't sleep very much, was up reading most of the night.

And, today is Easter Sunday. I got up and attended church. Came home, chatted for a bit, made myself an egg (which tasted horrible, I suck at cooking) and here I am. Who knows what the rest of the day has in store. I know I have to figure out what I need for my cruise before the weekend's over, so I may get on that today.

Anyways, hope everyone's Easter is going well. The Easter Bunny skipped my house this year, I'm pretty sure this is the first Easter that there hasn't been an abundance of chocolate in my house. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Heavy On My Mind.

Hey, what's shakin'?

Not much out of the ordinary here, just been hanging out. I have had more seminars and things in the past 2 weeks than I've had in my entire life, and I'm tiring of it quickly. There was the abortion one, then the follow up abortion one, then the One World one (which was really interesting, actually), then the brain/crystal meth one, plus throw in a mass or 2 in there. I never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather be learning about the Great Depression than about what some scientist doesn't know about crystal meth. That was the one in period one today. Some scientist came in and told us that he was going to be talking to us about crystal meth, but instead he mostly talked about how the brain functions and told us to perform an experiment on a three year old. Thanks, bud.

Last night I went to Tim Hortons with Sam and just so happened to run into Nora and Jordan. Jordan gave me two bucks to buy a fruit explosion muffin. Thanks man, twas good. This, however, meant that I missed the better part of House (I caught the last 20 minutes.)

Definitely looking forward to the four-day weekend. I have no plans which is kind of a bummer, but I'm sure I'll get up to something uninteresting.

Anyways, I have to go figure out how to make a brochure in Word Perfect.

Ground On Down

How's everyone doing? Well, I hope. I'm just peachy. Let's see, what have I been up to lately...

Been working on a history project that's due tomorrow on "New Political Parties For New Solutions." I'm done. We're holding a mock-election, should be interesting. Hope that goes well, only been working on it for ever. I'm almost done civics, something like 2 more real classes. I think the other two classes are taken up by a presentation and a work period. So that's definitely awesome. English is going well, kind of surprisingly. And Communications..well, let me tell you, I HATE MACROMEDIA FLASH WITH THE FIERY PASSION OF 1000 SUNS. It frustrates me to no end. I have successfully completed 4 assignments using Flash, and it's been the most stressful thing ever. Today I created a ghost town with a car that moves which was cool, and I created a professional advertisement for St. Michaels with may be used on the site or before announcements. I also made a bouncing ball turn into 2 hearts and a slide show. I just want Flash to go away, but I've been informed that next we're doing our claymations in it.

Today Kiersten and I definitely rocked the announcements *thumbs down*. Today, just for your information, the boys won the BRONZE medal, not the bras medal, and the grad profiles were due 3 times today. Man, we were such a mess. I wonder what Miss Moss said about that..Crap. Oh well, it kinda made my day, laughing out at nothing all day...

Friday night I went and saw the movie "Lucky Number Slevin." I didn't have very high hopes when I went in, but I came out impressed. I mean, it wasn't that good, but it exceeded my expectations. Saaaaaturday I slept until a nice 130, then at 4 my dad picked me up and we went to Kitchener to the Charcoal Steak House for my Aunts birthday. I was there last weekend to Del Dentes (same building, different restaurant.) It was really good. I then went from Kitchener, to St. Marys, to London. Sunday I didn't do much, came home from London, did homework, the usual.

Anyways, I think I'm going to get some coffee from Tim Hortons. Maybe I'll run into Ben. Catch ya on the flip side.

Meg

(P.S. 11 days until my cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

you could turn the city upside down if you want to but it won't keep you dry

well, i am highly caffeinated so i have decided to post.

let's see. i did actually go to international grounds tonight. turned out to be a different night than i expected, but it was equally as fun. started out kinda rocky. i got there at 9, and at that point the only people there were Wyatt's friends (only one of which likes me, to my knowledge.) shortly after that quite a number of people showed up that i hadn't seen in awhile so i chatted it up with them for awhile. then laura and sarah showed up, so i went and sat with them. a little while later nora, alex, jordan, and cory showed up. nora buggered off somewhere, so the remaining 5 of us chatted. sarah felt the need to ask alex tonnes of questions about being a punk, at first i found it really amusing (especially when she asked him if he was "angry"), but it actually turned out to be really interesting. we all talked for a lonnnnnng time. around 1030 nora joined us and we began harassing various people for different songs. i riot almost broke out, i actually feared for my safety. the show wrapped up around 11, and then about 10 of us all sat and talked until about 1130, then nora and i ventured out into the ran to find my mom to give us a ride home. it's not 130 am and i am sitting here writing this drinking my large cafe mocha while listening to the postal service. it's been a pretty good night.

i wonder what the weekend has in store. likely just civics.

well, night all.
