Staple it together and call it bad weather.

After many, many failed attempts at remembering my password, I finally just reset it. I am here, finally.

It's been a few months. That's because in those few months, not much has happened. It basically comes down to:

I'm now a year older than the last time I posted.
I applied to university.
I've been accepted to a university.
Today is day two of the new semester.
I was offered a wicked-awesome job with better pay..which I turned down.

I think that's about all that's new, besides my ever-changing hair..so that's not a big surprise.

Christmas and my birthday came and went. I applied to five schools, and so far I've been accepted to York on the Glendon campus for both an Undeclared major or an English/French major with an undeclared minor (likely to be History.) So I get to take my pick.

It's day two and I'm already sick of this semester. I've got French, Drama, Religion, and English Literature. Soon, Drama will be taken out of that list and I'll have a spare there.

Besides loving Feist and wanting everyone everywhere to leave Britney and Heath alone, I've been doing very little. Mostly just school (when it's not a "fog" day) or work.

I hope all is well with everyone else. I wouldn't know.. No one seems to post anymore. I know, I know, I'm guilty as well.

You could win a Caribbean Cruise for Two.

So the preview of Blithe Spirit was yesterday morning. I wasn't in it, the other cast was. I must say it went surprisingly well. I'm in opening night (tonight) and closing (Friday.) Should be a hell of a time. Hopefully I'll see some of you there?

This past weekend was one of the best in awhile. Friday night I began Christmas shopping (unintentionally.) I then went to the Ritsma's for a relaxing night cuddled up on the couch with my dearest Amy and some Dane Cook Vicious Circle. Saturday morning/afternoon began with a delicious breakfast at Features with many and some time roaming around The Book Vault. I had rehearsal all afternoon, followed by pizza and some movies at the Best residence. Sunday was work, followed by some picture-taking and a delicious meal at the Creamery, as well as The Day After Tomorrow.

Like I said before, in all honesty, not much happens to me. But I love it.

I've fallen very far behind with my school work. I was away for three days last week due to illness, and away the first two of this week because of rehearsals and the preview. I have resolved not to let it bum me out. I'm catching up little by little and have managed to get extensions on all my projects. All I have to worry about this afternoon/tonight is a history test on the Industrial Revolution and slavery.

Hope all is well.

Oh, and Liam: The Wikipedia Game is a mind-blowing game including links and random words. Basically you start on the Main Page (at least 2 people need to play) and you pick a random word that would have its own page. For example, Mohawk (hairstyle.) You then are only allowed to click links to make it to the page for Mohawk (hairstyle.) You can not type it in, but you can use the featured content page. This is how I spend a lot of my class time. It is, surprisingly, a lot of fun. Who ever makes it to the selected page first, wins. The next time you start from the Mohawk page and pick a new word, and get there by clicking links. We've even devised Wikipedia Game Tournaments, first to five wins, or most out of five rounds win.

I'm a loser :) and I love it.

Fell in Love With a Bad Idea.

I have sat down at various computers several times in the last couple weeks, logged on to blogger (after many, many unsuccessful attempts) and began composing a new post. Each time I failed to come up with something to say. It seems a little strange, rejoining the blogging world this late in the game. It appears that I've decided to recommence posting just as some quit. I'm basically gonna do this for the same reason I always have: to put down recent happenings. But with the resurrection of my blog comes a new format. Basically I was sick of the old one, so I've changed it up. I'll put some links in eventually.

I have been reading the remaining posters posts regularly, commenting irregularly. I'm interested in what you guys are up to (although Blake's blog seems to hint at him living on youtube..) and I can only hope that you are vaguely interested in what's going on with me, which is, in all honesty, very little.

So, since September, my life has been quite a whirlwind of events. My final year at St. Mikes (yep, still there..) is turning out to be the best so far, however stressful. It's been a lot of partying, late nights, post secondary meetings, and work. Weekends have been filled with themed parties and work (although, now that the Festival's done, I'm basically unemployed), while weekdays have been mainly classes, rehearsal, and homework. My schedule for this semester is English, World Issues, spare, and World History, with a very VERY short lunch crammed in there. It's been a challenge getting used to 40 minute lunches, especially now that I can drive (oh, yeah, I can drive now. Well, I can, but haven't in the last month.) All in all, it's pretty slack, and I'm loving it. Today a group of us took out a seminar room and watched Donnie Darko on our spare, followed by a hardcore round of the Wikipedia game. Life is good.

Last weekend I had the good fortune do some small scale partying with Calder and Siobhan. I've resolved to do this more frequently, because the whole night rocked. It started with dinner at Down The Street, followed closely by drinking games, and was finished off with a late night viewing of Almost Famous. It couldn't have been better.

I haven't a clue what'll go on this weekend. Thinking I'm going to lay low, catch up on some much needed homework, and even more sleep. Sunday I've got rehearsal at school. I am Mrs. Bradman in Blithe Spirit. It's actually turned out to be one of my favourites that I've done at St. Michael, and it'd be great if there was actually a decent crowd this time around (hint hint.) I auditioned for The Secret Garden this week, but no word on that until some time next week. I must say, though, that there is a grade 10, I believe, named Liam, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Blake. It's unnerving.

I'm currently on the OUAC site checking out my transcript. Thinking about schools has caused the most distress. I'm ready to leave St. Mikes, but am I ready to leave my life and all my friends to go off to school? I don't know. I guess I'll find out soon enough. My top choices are as follows:
1. York.
2. Queen's.
3. Laurier.
4. Western.
I'm also looking at applying out of province, Montreal or British Columbia. I'm just not sure if I'm ready to go that far just yet. Hopefully a guidance counsellor will shine some light on that in the near future.

But for now, that is all I have to say. I can't promise I'll post regularly, but I'll try to do it at least once a month. Also, Kiersten has promised me that she too will rejoin the blogging world. Keep your eyes peeled for some action Ottawa way.

Once again,
MTOD.

goddamn authors and professors.

Well, the past week and a half has been an experience.

Maxime came to Canada a week ago this past Friday. That's when the week and a half long festivities began. They got to St. Mikes around 5, jet-lagged and smelly, and so a group of us decided to drag them to Pazzo's for dinner, which was followed by one of the famous parties at Ritsma's.

That weekend was spent in Waterloo and Toronto with Kiersten and Ann Marie Cooper at the ROM, Mitzi's Sister, and various other cool places in T.O. Monday night we had a sleigh ride which left me with multiple bruises. Tuesday evening there was an "International Coffee House" at St. Mikes which was pretty uneventful.

Wednesday night we went Tubing at River Valley. I was standing at the top of one of the hills when Emily Ennett says to me "Look, there's Kiersten!" so I look, and sure enough, it's a platinum blonde. So I take off running, arms wide open to give her a hug, and when I am about 4 feet away from her I realize it isn't Kiersten at all, it's merely a girl who looks like Kiersten from several metres away. So what do I do? Keep running. Oh, I also got some guys named Rob's phone number and email. Probably the highlight of my night. I'm sure it'll be awkward if they ever call me back in to work there some day.

Thursday we all took off to Niagara Falls. About 20 minutes into the bus ride, the transmission goes in the bus. So, we wait for another one, but we had plenty to help pass the time..We went to the Skylon Tower, Imax, Journey Behind the Falls, the Butterfly Conservatory, and Clifton Hill. This is where I'd like to point out that, in Niagara Falls, the weather was beautiful, and until about 6 p.m. we had no idea how shtitty the weather was in Stratford. Hopped on the bus, crammed 6 of us into a two person seat for 90% of the ride home, got as far as Shakespeare and had to turn and take a detour because the road was closed. The road was also closed from Stratford to St. Marys, so that meant that Max and I had to sleep at Lauren Parks', with Kim Murray, and her two partners. It was a full house. We were all convinced Friday would be a snow day, so we stayed up half the night watching Billy Madison. What a mistake that was. And since all my books were in St. Marys, I didn't have any of my several assignments done. So I skipped. I haven't really been to class since last Wednesday, a week ago tomorrow.

Saturday Max and I went to my Dad's, swam and whatnot, and we were supposed to go to Kaitlyn Bannon's party Saturday night but I was feeling really shitty so Max went with other kids. He came home around 1 while I was passed out on the couch, but I had told him I'd wait up for him to lock the door and stuff. When I woke up around 130 I figured he wasn't home because I would have heard him. I waited until about 4, when I realized all 3 pairs of his shoes were at the door and he was home already. I was mad.

We were supposed to go Laser Questing Sunday, but I was far too sick and the weather was too crappy for Max to go, so we pretty much did nothing. Monday he went to school without me while I went to the hospital to find out I have bronchitis. And today, I went over to St. Mikes with him to say goodbye; they all departed for Toronto at 10 a.m. this morning. And then I came home to nap.

It's been a good time, but I'm exhausted. And since I haven't been to class in forever, I have years of work to do. So I better get back at it.

Hope all of you had fantastic reading weeks. And you should post.

Meg

You'll Be With Me Next Time I Go Outside

Happy Valentines Day to everyone. It's never been one of my favourite holidays but this year it is exceptional due to the fact that it's a snow day.

The down-side to the snow day (if it's possible to have a down-side to sleeping in and staying in your pajamas) is that I need to get downtown before 5 pm, and, according to the weather network, it's not supposed to feel any warmer than -21 this afternoon. My guess is I'll ending up biting the bullet, layering myself up, and making the trek downtown.

So after 2 days of Economics, I signed up to drop it. A week later I was called to switch classes. After finding out that there is NOTHING that period besides all 3 levels of math in grade 11 and 12, calculus, 3 sciences in grade 11 and 12, 11 georaphy, 12 history and 12 english, I decided to go for the 4U english. Full. Okay, 3U geography. Full. I already took 3U biology, so I went with 4U history. That's what I'm now in, and I can't decide whether it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Maxime comes on Friday, I'm pretty excited, should be a good time. He's going to go into shock when he sees all the snow. The other day in Rouen it was 0 degrees. He said he was cold.

Anyways, that's about all I got. I need to eat a heeping bowl of Fruit Loops and decide if I dare to venture out. I hope you all enjoy Valentines day and the amount of chocolate available as much as I will.

long time running

So, I just typed out a post, and my computer froze in the middle of it, so I'll retype it as best I can from memory.

I decided to post because November 11th seems like it was an awful long time ago. What was holding me back before was the fact that I had nothing to say. The realization that November 11th was a long time ago does not change this.

Exams are finally over, which is awesome. They seemed to drag onnnnnn and on. English = easy. Biology = easy. Math = easy. French = easy. And that's that.

My french exchange partner comes February 16th. I spoke with him on MSN yesterday, which was interesting.
Me: Are you excited to be coming to Canada soon?
Him: Yes, very much so.
Me: You're going to have a lot of fun here.
Him: Don't worry about it.
I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. Is he not expecting to have fun while he's here?

Today was Day One of euphoria. Rolled outta bed around 9:30, ate some fruitloops, read a little, went out for lunch with dad, read some more, tidied a little, and now here I am, contemplating going to Waterloo, and if not, Nora and I are gonna rent some movies. Either way it's win-win. I'm hoping tomorrow will be much of the same.

And that's about all I got. I must return to uploading ALL my music back into iTunes because iTunes is the devil incarnate. It could take days, and probably will.

Detective Daughter

oh hey.

so i was on the other side of the room, watching kevin federline making a fool of himself on live tv, when i thought to myself, 'i'm so bored right now i could post.' and here i am.

the past few weeks have a been really busy but i can't really remember why. i went to shenanigans a few weeks ago but left after 5 minutes to go to bentleys. once there, i picked up my grade 9 english teacher. yep, he gave me his phone number. he asked if i was 'still doing the acting thing' to which i replied 'yes' assuming he was talking about the performances at st mikes next week. i was wrong. he meant 'are you studying theatre at an institution of post-secondary learning?' then he asked what school i'm at, so i told him and he promptly ripped his phone number out of my hand. i am fairly certain he was intoxicated, i'll give him that, however, i feel for the kids whose papers he was marking in that booth at bentleys. shortly after a nice guy named 'Ed' came over to our table and asked us what we were eating. then he asked me what my name was and asked elyse what her name was, but skipped nora. the rest of that night was filled with embrassing and hilarious stories, and 3 cabs showing up for nora and i. my bad.

the next day wasn't a happy one, so i decided to hop on the 830 train and go to waterloo. so that's what i did. i got off in kitchener, grabbed a cab, directed him to cardill, and spent the night with sam. as it was the saturday night before halloween, every other house on her street was having a kegger. around 4 am all you could hear were cars honking their horns. it got annoying, quickly. one of her roommates is working on getting his Ph.D. in bio chemistry and her other roommate is working on her Ph.D. in something else. I can't remember.

Onnnnn halloween i went out to a party that i had low expectations for, but it was actually pretty good. the next day was a P.A. day (yeah, high school!) so i stayed in my pajamas almost all day, until i went out for dinner with my dad. i was grounded the next weekend (which was fine because nothing was going on anyway), but ended up going to my dads on saturday overnight and then working at 10 on sunday. it wasn't all that bad, saturday night i got to have a conversation with a woman from columbia who is 6 months pregnant. it was interesting.

i was also grounded this weekend, which sucked because a friend had a big party and a lot of them were going to shenanigans beforehand to see wyatt play. oh well. i worked at 10 this morning, and mom to T.O. today so i have the house to myself and it's really boring. that's why i'm here. i was scheduled to work 10-3ish tomorrow but i have rehearsal at one, but it's actually worked out well. now i've got to go in at 9, but i get to spend from 9 until 1230 pressing and stocking. should be a good time.

anyways, sadly, that's all i got. back to k-fed, i guess.

mtod.

PS i thought i posted this 4 days ago, but instead i saved it as a draft, so i'm just gonna update it on this one.

tonight was the first performance of the play. 2 out of the 3 went well. guess which one went poorly? yep, the one i'm in. a cue was missed, chaos ensued. the play ended up being about 5 minutes long, and my second appearance was cut. now, i'm not mad about that because nora and blair did an excellent job of covering, however, it still sucked.

that is all. again.

stressed out oranges.

I got home from France as of last night.

I had an amazing time, the only part of me that wanted to come home was the part of me that likes milk, kraft dinner, and grilled cheese.

And since I'm home, I find Canada boring, so to cure this boredem, I'm going to break my trip down for you guys. Not interested? Don't have a lot of time to kill? Stop reading here.

Thursday, September 28 - Got on the bus at 2 pm and headed to Pearson. Got to the airport, weighed my luggage (which was, thankfully, not overweight) and grabbed some food at Swiss Chalet. Went through customs and then played cards in the terminal. We boarded the plane at 745, took off shortly there after, flew extremely shakily for 45 minutes, landed at Trudeau in Montreal for an hour, and the continued on to Charles De Gaulle in Paris for the next 8.5 hours. I mostly slept because the in-flight movie was Over the Hedge.

Friday, September 29 - Wake up around what I believed to be 330 am, but in reality it was 930 am. We had breakfast. The plane landed at 11:55 am. We got through immigration and then boarded our beautiful coach bus. We headed into Rouen. Again, I slept most of the time, I was a little jet lagged. We arrive at Sacre Coeur around 230 pm I believe, and I met my correspondant, Maxime. We head into the school for some food and to have a short meeting. He informs me that he lives in a suburb of Rouen and that he takes the bus and the metro every day. That was a pain in the ass as my luggage weighed roughly 21 kilograms. Luckily, he carried it for me. We got to his house (which was 3 storeys and had a spiral staircase), I dropped off my stuff, and we went for a walk around his neighbourhood. We eventually went back to his house where I then met his sister, his father, and later his dad's girlfriend and his siter's boyfriend. They couldn't have been nicer. We ate dinner and then watched Spiderman. I then headed to bed.

Saturday, September 30 - I slept in until noon while Maxime attended school. After breakfast (which consisted of a baguette and lots of Nutella) we went to a mall and looked around. We then met up with some of his friends and headed into downtown Rouen. There we met up with some other Canadians and we shopped. That evening we went "bowling." No actual bowling occured, it was mostly pool and alcohol.

Sunday, October 1 - Again, slept in until noon. Maxime's dad, Christian, left for Turkey Sunday morning and was gone until the following Sunday night. After lunch Maxime, Anne (his dad's girlfriend) and I headed to Etretat. It was a beautiful town on the north coast. I will also say here that the speed limit in France, on single lane highways, is 130 kilometres an hour. We spent the day at the coast, climbing a cliff and looking at the ocean. Afterwards we headed into another region and saw Normandy Bridge which is also a beautiful structure. If bridges were intended to be pretty, they would all look like Normandy Bridge. I didn't see Anne again until the following Sunday. Not sure where she went, but it wasn't Turkey.

Monday, October 2 - Woke up at 7, took the bus and the metro to the school, boarded a bus and headed to the Juno Beach Centre, about 2 hours away. The part of the day we spent at Juno Beach was undoubtedly one of my favourite parts of the trip. We ate lunch on the beach and waded in the water. After lunch we headed to a Canadian War Cemetary which I can't describe. I did however find a stone with the last name Tobin on it, which was interesting. After the War Cemetary we headed into a little town called St. Malo. We did some shopping there, and afterwards we boarded the bus again and headed to our Youth Hostel. If any of you have seen the movie Hostel, then you already know what our hostel looked like. Anyways, that night our room became the party room. It was an interesting night, to say the least.

Tuesday, October 3 - Wake up call at 630 am, which was harsh. We had breakfast and eventually boarded the bus and headed to Mont St. Michel. We had a guide who lead us so we wouldn't get stuck in the quicksand. We ended up having a mudfight between the Canadians and the French, which, I am proud to announce, was started by myself and Julia Farr. It was my first mudfight, and certainly not my last. The guide took us to a large area with quicksand and I sunk in it up to my hips. Getting myself out was a difficult task for sure. Once we were finished the several kilometre trek we washed ourselves off and we were provided with lunch, however we were not permitted on the bus, which was ridiculous because we were wet and cold. We headed into the town of Mont St. Michel which is a mountain with shops and apartments. We looked around a bit but quickly tired of it, so we headed to the bus. When we got there we still weren't allowed on, so we sat behind it and just hung out, got to know some of the other French students a bit more. We eventually got on the bus and sat on it for 3 hours. We arrived back at the school and then headed home.

Wednesday, October 4 - I attended school at the Collége Sacre Coeur in the morning which was like an elementary school. I felt like a celebrity. All of the children asked for my autograph and email address. One little girl even asked me to sign her paper twice, once for her and again for her cousin. After lunch Maxime had to do some extra school work so I along with other French students and Canadians went skating. Skating in France is much different and more difficult than it is in Canada. The edge of the blade is backwards or something, because when anyone tried to stop they just slid and often fell. After skating I headed back to the school to meet Maxime and, if I remember correctly, we just went home for dinner and whatnot.

Thursday, October 5 - This day is a bit of a blur. I think that this is the day that we toured the boulangerie. If it is, we toured a bakery in the morning which was really interesting, and in the afternoon we got a guided tour of Rouen which was really really interesting. Many of the houses are bigger at the top than at the bottom for more room and to avoid higher taxes, and there is a cat trapped in a wall that has been there since the black plague. There is also a school that used to be a mausoleum and is built on top of a pit that is filled with people who died from the black plague. After the tour we shopped and then met up with our partners at the school.

Friday, October 6 - I went to school at the Lycée (more like a highschool) in the morning, which was interesting. After classes, all of us headed to a stadium and played sports, Canadians against the French. The Canadians won every single sport. We walked home after, and when we got there Maxime realized he had forgotten his key. We jumped the brick fence, and sat in their garden for a bit when Max realized a window was open, on the second floor. He pulled a patio table up to the window and jumped in. I, however, was too short, so as I tried to suspend myself in mid-air he pulled me through. Why he didn't just go and unlock the door for me is a mystery. We returned to the school at 7 and met up with some Canadians, we hung out around the school for a bit, did some various activities, and then there was a dance at 830. It was completely techno. It ended at 1. We went to a party for a bit, and then headed home.

Saturday, October 7 - Maxime skipped his classes for the morning so we both slept in. In the afternoon, Maxime, Céline (his sister), Axel and I drove into Rouen to meet up with some other Canadians and go shopping. We shopped all day, and then we (being those I mentioned before) along with Maxime's friend and his corespondant, Emily Ennett, grabbed some dinner, which was hilarious. Axel asked her to ask the waiter for "beat" and "columba" (no idea if that's how those are spelled). Neither is something that you would want to ask for in a restaurant. After that we went to one of the bridges and met up with Maxime's cousin and his friends. We hung out there for a while, then we headed to a club called Exo7 around 1230, but none of us enjoyed it so we toured home.

Sunday, October 8 - Maxime, Anne (who reappeared) and I headed up the mountain in Rouen to view the city from the top. It was breathtaking. After that Anne dropped Max and I off at Jardin des Plantes (fitting, I think) which was one of, if not the most, beautiful place I saw. After that we met some people at McDonalds, where we all realized we were eating McDonalds on Thanksgiving, which was very saddening. We headed to a park, swung on some swings, then went "bowling" again. After awhile we went back home, did some homework, and went to bed.

Monday, October 9 - We were supposed to attend classes in the morning, but instead Mr. Buckley and Mr. Ennett let us go shopping for the entire day. It was fantastic. At first nothing was open except bars, but eventually shops began to open up. I met up with Maxime at 430 and we headed home for a bit. At 745 we headed out again for dinner with the entire group, all the Canadians and all the French. It was a great time, which was followed by "bowling." It was a long night.

Tuesday, October 10 - We went to the school in the morning, I said goodbye to Maxime and all the other French students, and we headed into Paris. On the way, we stopped at the Palais de Versailles, which was magnificent. We were there for a few hours, then we headed to our hostel/hotel deal to drop off our bags. After that we walked into a part of Paris and grabbed some dinner and did some shopping. We went to the opera at 8 pm which was very interesting, and got back to our rooms around 1230. Walking back was absolutely beauiful. Paris really is the most romantic city.

Wednesday, October 11 - We headed to Notre Dame first thing in the morning. After Notre Dame, we went into the Latin Quarter and did some shopping. We went back to the hostel/hotel for lunch. After, we headed to the Eiffel Tower which was much larger than expected. We went to the top. After the Eiffel Tower we went to the Louvre for our guided tour at 630. Let me tell you, the Mona Lisa is disappointing. It's very small. I also saw the Vénus de Milo and the inverted pyramid, along with several other famous works. We went back to the hostel/hotel for dinner around 830. We had a boat tour on a bateau mouche at 1030 which was a LOT of fun. the tour ended at 1130 and we walked back to the hostel/hotel for about 1215. This day, we walked 26 kilometres, and we even took the subway at one point. Again, that night, our room became the party room. Everyone crashed on our floor.

Thursday, October 12 - We had an ungodly wake up call at 630. I slept in a bit, got dressed, went to breakfast, and then we left the hostel/hotel around 820. We drove to the airport, got through customs, ate another breakfast (because by this time I was used to eating every 5 minutes) and boarded the plane around 1230, behind schedule. We flew about 8 hours to Montreal's Trudeau, and then to Pearson, where I had a heart attack. After leaving beauitful 30 degree weather and flying 10 hours, the last thing you are prepared for is snow and a chilly 4 degrees. Thanks to the time change, the flight felt like it was only 4 hours. We got through immigration by 520, but it felt like 1120. We found our bus and prepared for heavy traffic. I slept. We arrived at St. Mikes around 745 I think. I hopped out of the bus and into the car. I came home, uploaded my pictures, watched Greys Anatomy, and went to bed.

A grand time was had by all. A large part of me didn't want to leave. Why don't grocery stores in Canada have walls filled with liquor?

Today was March for Mikes, followed by the usual coffee house. In my opinion, it was a pretty good time, but I think Nora would disagree.

Hope I didn't miss much in the past two weeks. Liam, your posts took forever to catch up on. and Blake, are you still working in Stratford on the weekends?

Swallowed in the Sea

i'm more of a follower than a leader i suppose, so i'm going to take part in the 'shitty day at work' vent. this is going to be fun.

all my days run together so i can't even remember which day of the week this was, i think it was monday, but i can't be sure. it's likely that i'm going to jump around a bit, so stick with me.

neither of the bosses were in, so us maids were left to our own devices. i go in at 9 or 10, can't remember, it's unimportant. we're up in the manor, cleaning rooms, y'know, doing our job, when a girl i work with opens up room number 3. now, room number 3 was a checkout room. checkout isn't until 11 am, but most people leave earlier. the occupants from room number 3 left around 7 am, which we found very very strange, but we don't think too much about it. aaaanyways, she opens up room number 3 and it smells AWFUL. i can't describe the smell that came from that room. luckily, we made the rule that whoever finds it first has to clean it, so she had to clean the bathroom in this room, while another girl made the bed, dusted, etc.

wanna know why it smelled so bad?

sure you do.

there was shit. everywhere. there was so much and i can't even properly explain how horrified we were. i mean, these girls had seen a lot of things between working at westover for a long time and infrequently cleaning the albert street inn, but i'm pretty sure this topped the list.

i think one of the occupants must have had some sort of uncontrollable bowel syndrome. there was shit on the floor, there was shit in the sink, there was shit on the back of the toilet, as well as the seat, IN the shower, ON the shower curtain, ON the drain, UNDERneath the toilet (like, the bowl part), and shit IN and on the BOTTOM of the garbage bin. Oh, and there was a giant shit in the centre of the bed which was covered up with a towel, like the occupants were hoping we wouldn't find it. it took a good couple hours to clean, and we called front desk (however, nora didn't answer the phone) and told them not to sell the room for a day or more.

when i went in the next day it still smelled. it still had that awful smell, but now mixed with mothballs. it was strange

boy, was i ever glad i didn't discover that, first. i was able to carry out my day i would normally. i was in disbelief.

Make Your Own Kind Of Music

it's been awhile. i figured i should post something since i know you are all sitting on the edge of your seats waiting to read what i've been up to since my last post.

i got a second job. i am now a kitchen bitch at River Valley AND a maid at Westover Inn. i have also been informed that there may be some hours available for me in the kitchen at Westover, so i should get on that really soon.

i spent a week in grand bend with kiersten. enough said.

my birthday is in 5 months today. that elates me. i go to france in 2 months tomorrow, too, which is incredibly exciting. i am also going to see the hip at ovation. i bought my dad 2 tickets to see them for his birthday and he asked me to go with him.

ummm i can't think of anything else. someone should come visit me. hell, i live in the same town as nora and i have only seen her once this summer, and that was in stratford.

that is all for now.

5 months!!

how did m'rod get out..?

meghan.
